iPhone 13: Full Specifications

Apple’s iPhone 13 sits in the core of the lineup with a 6.1 inch format that balances one handed comfort and everyday screen space. Its body pairs an aluminium frame with a glass back and Ceramic Shield front, and it carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The OLED Super Retina XDR display delivers a sharp 2532 x 1170 resolution with HDR support, True Tone, and strong peak brightness for video and daily use. Inside, the A15 Bionic chip with a 4 core GPU keeps the experience fast for apps, gaming, photography, and long software support, with 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage options available. The dual 12 MP rear cameras combine a main sensor with sensor shift stabilization and an ultra wide camera, supported by Night mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Cinematic mode. Video recording goes up to 4K at 60 fps, while the 12 MP TrueDepth front camera also handles Face ID. Battery life is rated for up to 19 hours of video playback, and charging support includes MagSafe, Qi wireless charging, and fast wired charging. The phone also supports 5G, Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual SIM through nano SIM plus eSIM.

Pros

  • A15 Chip: The four iPhone 13 models are the only Apple smartphones which wield the brand new A15 bionic chip. As a result, iPhone 13 users can expect an efficient performance unlike any other iPhone device.
  • Camera Improvements: The diagonal lenses aren't just for show. The iPhone 13 is stronger than previous models, and introduces new features like Cinematic mode.

Cons

  • Price: A brand new iPhone 13 costs $1100 CAD, which is not very affordable for a smartphone.
  • No Touch ID: Apple fans across the world were hoping for a re-introduction of Touch ID. Some rumours even suggested that the iPhone 13 would have a fingerprint scanner built into the screen. Unfortunately, no such feature was added, and users will have to continue using Face ID.
