Même si le prix est alléchant vous aller avoir des problèmes.
De mon coté problème de throttling en heure de pointe seulement dans l'application Youtube sur des appareil de streaming (amazon firestick et nvidia shield pro).
Grace a l'option stat for nerds de youtube, en heure de pointe IVC throttle à 2.5mbps au lieu de mon 100mbps que je paye. En raison de cela, incapable de visionner des videos youtube en 1080p car sa buffer tout le temps (le fait seuelement sur appareil de streaming et non sur pc sur www.youtube.com). Sur appareil de streaming en période hors pointe aucun problème je recois entre 50 et 90 mb/s dans connection speed dans stat for nerds. En appelant le support on me suggère de passé à une connection 200mb/s mais le problème n'est pas la. J'ai même connecté leur modem cable directement a mon nvidia shield donc en bypassant tout mon réseau et routeur de la maison et même trouble de vitesse dans youtube.
Sa me dérangerais pas à la limite qu'on me thottle à 50% sur application youtube en heure de pointe. Mais throttlé à 2.5mb/sec c'est juste SAUVAGE de leur part.
Je parlerais même pas de leur support téléphonique qui est une vrai farce en me disant que j'ai un problème d'utilisation quand le problème du coté du thottle de la bande passante.

If you’re looking for great internet service at a cheap price, you should check out IVC Telecom. There was a minor technical issue during installation but everything worked out in the end. I’m happy that I’m with IVC.

Longer review:
After reading the many reviews/FB comments, I still took a chance in December 2020 and I am very satisfied. I worked from home, like most nowadays, so it was important to have a stable connection. I can be on Microsoft Teams reunions without any drops. The ironic thing was that some of my colleagues had trouble using Videotron yet I was not affected. So Big or small providers, things happen!

The evening was another concern from the reviews/FB comments since I watched 4k content. I can say I used speedtest.net to monitor the performance during the evening in the first weeks. Again no drops during the first few weeks until ... I had one major problem in the first week when Quebec started a curfew at 8PM at the start of January. The load affected everyone. I contacted IVC and they were already working with Videotron to correct the problems province-wide. It took a few days to correct the situation. Since then, it's stable.

The modem was the same model has my previous provider. I only had to switch them.

The service is basic but I can understand at that price.

When I switched, I still had the 60/10 speed of my old provider. By connecting my laptop directly to the modem has asked by the IVC tech, I was able to see that I got more than the 100/30. My router is a recent WIFI6 so I did not think it was the problem. The tech asked me to check its setting. I did and discovered I had forgotten I had activated the QoS on my router and the old values were there. :P So, I modified it and got full speed.

I now have 66% more speed for $14+tx less. In the 4th year, I will pay $1 more than what I was paying. And by then, my old ISP would also raise the price. Until then, I save every month. :)

Overall, it will depend of the stability of your area and how much you want to pay per month.

Very poor carrier. Unstable 100mb connection, bad customer service, avoid even if a lot cheaper than competitors.

After many years I lived in Canada, I have never encountered a company that lies like this to its customers. I don’t know where to protect consumers from all this. Even customer service is not respectful. Avoid this company for your peace of mind.

1- L'installation a été extrêmement lente, une chance que je n'avais pas désactivé mon ancien forfait avant de m'assurer que la connexion fonctionne. j'ai appelé à maintes reprises pour obtenir qu'un technicien se déplace chez moi.
2- ils ne fournissent pas de routeur ... donc prévoir l'achat, la configuration d'un routeur
3- La connexion est instable ... les reunion en visio conférences coupent souvent
4- Les service à la clientele est mauvais ... vous passez un temps considérable au telephone avant de pouvoir parler à quelqu'un et on vous oriente vers quelqu'un d'autre et c'est reparti pour une autre attente de minimum 20 mn.

The service so pool, when you call, you need to wait more than 20min. I had been with another company, cable installed just need make a switch, no needed technician to come and make installation. They promised 8 days for activation. After 15 days still nothing, Ever days its a same music, waiting and the end TOMORROW its gonna be OK. So bad experience.

I used planhub.ca to select a low-cost internet service for my area. I selected this provider. I usually negotiate with Rogers every year to match the price of the discount providers. I had negotiated a few months into a new deal when I needed to move (I have been moving almost yearly). The prices for internet had gone up, even with the loyalty discount. I didn't need faster internet b/c I was going from student housing to a studio apartment, but my income has not increased during the pandemic. This discount provider was $5 less (two year deal) than Rogers for same speed. Discount providers use the same IT people as Rogers but, seem to contact them more indirectly. However, unlike my last attempt years ago with a different discount provider, the technician showed up and connected it on-time and with the same diligence as a Rogers client. Working perfectly.

Be careful this is a scam company. So many elderly customers are without internet and the company doesn't do much. Bad service. Not honest and not reliable.
